Shop Apron 'Kanetetsu' Fish Cake Manufacture

This lovely apron (called maekake in Japanese) is probably from the mid to late Showa era (1926-1988). The apron was/is worn by shop or small company employees for advertising purpose. The apron is made from heavy weight cotton and it is dyed in deep indigo. There is a pair of ties attached on the top. The renowned Japanese company, Kanetetsu produces fish cake products and the store logo is in the center of the design along with well known the Kanetetsu boy face at the bottom. It is in excellent condition.
