Kyo-Yuzen Tomesode Formal Kimono

KIMONO #191 - $590.00

This colorful formal tomesode kimono is probably from the late Taisho era (1912-1926). The kimono is made from fine black chirimen silk depicted with a number of pine trees in the vertical composition along with festive tents with floral motifs. The dominant colors of the design are orange, red, green, burgundy, yellow, white, and touch of gold. There is a minimum of hand-embroidery over some outlines of pines and flowers. This beautiful design is placed almost symmetrical way on the bottom of the both front of the kimono and they are continuously seen in the bottom of the interior. There are the total of five family crests in both front and back. The kimono is fully lined with fine red silk and almost double layered lining of white silk. There are some very few small and light stains over the design (almost invisible); otherwise it is in excellent condition.

The dimensions are:

Width (Sleeve to Sleeve): approximately 50"

Length: approximately 60"

Sleeve Length: approximately 19.5"
