Royal Blue Iro-Tomesode Semi Formal Kimono with Cranes

This lovely color-tomesode is probably from the early to mid 1900s. The kimono is made from fine chirimen silk and it depicts almost symmetrical design of a mountain scene and a pair of cranes. The design on the kimono was executed by Yuzen hand paint-dye technique. The dominant colors you find on the kimono are ivory white, black, brick orange, greens, and browns against striking royal blue back ground. The kimono is fully lined with silk in red. The beautiful design is also seen at the bottom of the interior. The very bottom hem is stuffed with cotton like quilting. There are five family crests on the front and back. It is in excellent condition. The dimensions are:
