Shop Apron 'Choryo' Sake Brand

This lovely apron (called maekake in Japanese) is probably from the mid Showa era (1926-1988). The apron was/is worn by shop or small company employees for advertising purpose. The apron is made from heavy weight cotton and it is dyed in deep indigo. There is a pair of ties attached on the top. The name of the sake advertising here is called Choryu, which is quite popularly consumed in Japan. It is in excellent condition.
