Iyo Kasuri Women's Kimono
MISC 401 - $220.00
This lovely kasuri (ikat) kimono is probably from the early to mid 1900s. The kasuri is made from indigo-dyed hand-woven cotton fabric and the origin of this particular kasuri is more likely from Iyo (the western shikoku-island). The pattern you find on this kimono is a gourd pattern with some abstract designs. There is no lining in the interior of the kimono as it was probably worn in warm seasons. It is in excellent condition.
