Maru Obi with Crane and Floral Motifs

This lovely wedding obi is probably from the end of Taisho era (1912-19260) or the early part of Showa era (1926-1988). The obi is made from silk and it is depicted with many cranes and auspicious flowers such as peonies and chrysanthemums. The colors you see on the obi are hunter green, mustard brown, and sage green over the silvery ivory background. There are some tiny spots due to the age (almost invisible), otherwise it is in excellent condition. It is approximately 12 3/4" in width X 158" in length.
