Maru Obi Dark Brown with Phoenix
OBI 524 - $480.00
This refined maru obi is probably from the early Meiji era (1868-1912). The obi was hand-woven from fine silk and it depicts auspicious symbols of cranes and pine trees. The dominant colors on the obi are dark brown, sage, matt silver, and white against the indigo blue (with a touch of charcoal gray) background. There are some worn (crease) lines due to the age; otherwise it is in excellent condition. This obi truly possesses a rare and rustic beauty. This particular obi is 12" in width and 152" in length.
