Black Damask Haori

Haoris are coats worn over kimonos. Most are lined with colorful, patterned silk fabric. Generally, haoris are worn open in the front and not closed and overlapped like kimonos. This haori is probably from the late Showa era (1926-1988). The haori is made from fine damask silk in black showing a garden scene over the cloud. The haori is lined with white satin damask silk which shows a stylized pattern of chrysanthemums. There is no visible damage. Dimensions:
